When Robby and Kandi founded Replicate Ministries back in 2008, they didn’t set out to create a program. They set out to spark movements - unique, contextual, Spirit-led disciple-making cultures in local churches.
Over the last two decades, our team has walked alongside thousands of pastors in churches ranging from twenty to twenty thousand. What makes Replicate unique - and what shaped this book - is that our team isn’t filled with theorists. Rather, we are from the church, for the church. We’re pastors actively serving in the local church. We train out of practice, not simply theory, and we get to see the results of a church’s Vision Plan take shape three, five, even seven years down the road.
Along the way, God has taught us profound lessons.
In 2018, Robby and Chris Swain released Replicate, which became what we now call Toolkit 1.0. That first toolkit helped countless pastors design practical discipleship pathways and launch D-groups. And it worked. We still hear weekly from pastors who have implemented those ideas.
But in 2020, we realized something.
Churches didn’t just need more content; they needed deeper coaching, clearer culture, and vision that could actually be implemented. We discovered missing pieces that had to be developed for churches to truly multiply.
And that’s how Movement-Ready Church was born - Toolkit 2.0, built on the foundation of the first but expanded with the lessons we learned over a decade of helping churches move from addition to multiplication.
In the coming blog posts, I’ll walk you through the five biggest advancements God taught us. These aren’t theories. They’re field-tested principles forged through years of walking alongside pastors just like you.
